One of the leadership quantum skills that “most difficult" I think that is quantum being. Quantum being or “quantum being/quantum existence”, because the peak is perfect person (perfect being).
Term quantum being this is not solely related to quantum physics, but more about the way humans understand their own existence in depth, holistic, transcendent, and connected to a wider reality. Quantum being placing humans as more than just biological creatures, but rather spiritual beings who have conscious energy, mark, purpose of life, and connection with God.
Quantum being can be understood as humans' deepest awareness of their existence as spiritual beings connected to God, universe, and fellow human beings. This concept does not just talk about physical existence, but also about the energy of consciousness, meaning of life, self-transformation, and depth of spirituality.
Draft quantum being has a close relationship with the concept perfect person (perfect/perfect human). Islam views humans as creatures who have divine potential, akal, ruh, heart, and caliphate trust. The ultimate goal of education and life in Islam is not just worldly success, but the formation of a perfect person—a person who is balanced between knowledge, iman, amal, morality, and spirituality. This concept is very important to apply in Islamic Religious Universities (PTKI), because PTKI has a big responsibility in building a generation of Muslim intellectuals not only excel academically, but also spiritually and morally mature.
This awareness gives birth to a transcendent life orientation. Humans no longer live only for material interests, but make all his activities a form of servitude to Allah SWT.
I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
"And I did not create jinn and humans except that they worship Me." (QS. Adz-Dzariyat: 56)
Man understands the need that he is not just a biological body, but rather a spiritual being who owns it: 1) awareness of monotheism; 2) heart intelligence; 3) spiritual intelligence, 4) moral responsibility, And 5) mission to build civilization. This concept makes humans able to bring calm, wisdom, and usefulness in life.
However, if humans are not aware of themselves, then plunged into disgrace due to disobedience (crime) which was done until it was at the lowest level ever imagined. On the other hand, if they have high awareness and are able to optimize it for good, they will reach the level of human beings.
Say, “O God, you are the King of dominion. You give dominion to whomever You wish, and You take dominion from whom You wish, and you exalt whomever You wish, and you humiliate whomever.” With Your hand is the best. You have power over all things.
Say it (Prophet Muhammad), "Oh God, Owner of power, You give power to whom You will and You take away power from whom You will. You glorify whom You will and You humiliate whom You will. All goodness is in Your hands. Truly You are Almighty over all things. (QS. Ali Imran: 47)
Perfect human being as Peak Quantum Being
The concept of insan kamil is one of the important ideas in Islamic philosophy and Sufism. Insan kamil means humans who achieve spiritual perfection, intellectual, moral, and social in accordance with divine values. Muslim figures such as Ibn Arabi and Al-Jili explain that human beings are humans who are able to reflect the attributes of Allah in their lives., like affection, justice, wisdom, and honesty.
The highest perfect human figure is Muhammad. Rasulullah SAW is a manifestation of the perfect human being who has: 1) spiritual intelligence; 2) noble character; 3) moral firmness; 4) leadership abilities; 5) social affection, 6) istiqamah in worship. Allah SWT said:
Indeed, you are of great character
"And indeed you really have a great character."
(QS. Al-Qalam: 4)
The perfect human being is the highest form quantum being in Islam, namely humans whose entire dimensions are in harmony with the will of Allah SWT.
Draft quantum being In Islam it is close to the traditions of Sufism and Sufism tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul). In Sufism, humans are taught to: 1) cleanse the heart; 2) control desires; 3) strengthen dhikr; 4) deepen muraqabah, And 5) get closer to God. Allah SWT said:
He who purifies it has succeeded
"Fortunate indeed are those who purify their souls."(QS. Ash-Shams: 9)
Purification of the soul is a transformation process towards a perfect person. In the context of quantum being, tazkiyatun nafs can be understood as a process of improving the quality of human spiritual awareness.
Implementation Quantum Being in PTKI
Values and principles quantum being which can be attempted to be implemented at PTKI in the form of the following things:
1. Transformation of Spiritual Academic Culture
PTKI needs to build an academic culture that is not only oriented towards administrative achievements and scientific publications, but also academic spirituality.
This culture can be created through: 1) Integration of monotheism values in the curriculum; 2) Academic dhikr and prayer traditions; 3) Ihsan-based scientific ethics; 4) Strengthening etiquette in learning; And 5) Development of research that brings benefit to the people. So the campus becomes a center of knowledge as well as a center of spiritual civilization.
2. Prophetic Leadership Development
Quantum being can be applied in PTKI leadership through a prophetic leadership model that emulates the Prophet Muhammad SAW through traits: 1) Siddiq (Honest); 2) Trust (responsible); 3) Tabligh (communicative); And 4) Fathanah (intelligent). Leaders who own quantum being don't just focus on bureaucracy, but also able to build a transformative vision and positive energy in the organization.
3. Holistic and Integrative Learning
PTKI needs to develop integrated learning: 1) religious knowledge; 2) science, 3) spirituality, 3) morality, 4) research; And 5) dedication to the community. Students are not only educated to become graduates, but also be a person of character, visions, and have divine consciousness. This kind of learning model will give birth to a generation of ulul albab who are able to integrate revelation and science.
4. Strengthening Students' Mentality and Spirituality
Quantum being can be an important approach in coaching students in the midst of a moral crisis, emergency, and the disorientation of the modern generation. Students who have high spiritual awareness will be more resilient, optimistic, and productive.
5. Integration Quantum Being in PTKI HR Management
Lecturers and educational staff need to be developed not only in terms of technical competence, but also spiritual awareness and moral integrity. Implementation can be done via: 1) spiritual leadership training; 2) strengthening the work culture of ihsan; 3) organizational moral development; 4) value-based management, And 5) performance evaluation that pays attention to ethical and service aspects. So PTKI is not only superior academically, but also morally and spiritually superior.
Quantum being In an Islamic perspective, it is a person's deep awareness of his existence as a servant of Allah and caliph on earth. This concept places humans as spiritual beings who have an integral relationship between spirits, akal, heart, and charity. The concept reaches its ideal form in the perfect human being, namely a perfect human being who imitates the Prophet Muhammad in the aspect of spirituality, knowledge, morality, leadership, and humanity.
Eventually quantum being and the perfect human being can become a paradigm of educational transformation through the integration of knowledge and revelation, the formation of a spiritual academic culture, prophetic leadership development, and developing student character. With this paradigm, PTKI is expected to be able to produce a generation of ulul albab who are not only academically superior, but it also has spiritual depth, moral integrity, and the ability to build Islamic civilization mercy lil 'alamin.
